THE SHORT VERSION
For a long time, I thought better content meant better equipment.
Better camera. Better lighting. Better background. Better everything.
So I kept upgrading the setup when what I really needed was to spend more time thinking about what I actually wanted to say.

WHAT I'M DOING DIFFERENTLY NOW
Before I pick up my camera, I try to figure out three things:
01 — WHAT'S THE HOOK?
What would make me stop scrolling?
02 — WHAT'S THE STORY?
What happens between the first second and the last?
03 — WHAT SHOULD THEY FEEL?
Curious? Inspired? Seen? Like they suddenly need that product?
Only then do I start thinking about lighting, angles and styling.
And yes, I still move the coffee table around.
Some habits aren't going anywhere.
A LITTLE REMINDER
You don't always need a better camera.
Sometimes you just need a better reason to press record.
ANYWAY...
I'm still very much someone who will spend fifteen minutes getting the perfect shot of a coffee cup.
But now I try to make sure there's a reason for the coffee cup to be there.
